Do you feel called to experience yoga beyond the drop-in class?
Would you like to study and practice yogaâbeyond just the physical postures (asanas) and breath techniques (pranayama)âas a comprehensive spiritual discipline?
Whether youâre a beginner, have practiced yoga and meditation for years, teach others, or are returning to the mat after some time away â SÄdhanÄ invites you into a consistent yet spacious practice (you'll already know the benefits this creates). If youâre ready for the next-level of inner commitmentâsupported by a teacher and community on the same pathâSÄdhanÄ '26 is for you.
SÄdhanÄ (from Sanskrit sÄdh, âto accomplishâ): Committed and disciplined practice and study for spiritual growth and self-realisation.
What's Included:
Monthly Half-Day Yoga & Meditation Retreats
These 4-hour mornings are a turboboost for your personal practice, and a longer experience of silence, yoga and meditation techniques. They're also a nice way to connect with your SÄdhanÄ community.
In-person (Currimundi, Sunshine Coast) or live stream on a Sat or Sun, once a month. Also available via recording to retreat in your own time.
Quarterly Online Book Club
Deepen your understanding of yoga, meditation, and the inner journey through guided study of texts like the Bhagavad Gita, Prana and Pranayama, Light on Yoga, and Mindfulness in Plain English.
Every three months, we gather online for a live video call to explore key teachings, share interpretations, and discuss how these texts relate to your own inner experiences on (and off) the mat.
Weekly Yoga Class
Stay connected to your practice rhythm by attending Erin's weekly Wed 9:30â10:45am class in person (WindanSea Currimundi, Sunshine Coast), or receiving the full audio and/or video recording each week to practice anytime from home.
These weekly touch points help you maintain momentum, rekindle motivation, and experience steady, embodied progress between the longer monthly immersions.
Podcast, and At-Home Practice Hub
Listen to Erin's podcast episodes released for SÄdhanÄ members only, as we spend the year journeying through the Koshas - physical, energetic, mental, wisdom and bliss layers of our Self.Â
Plus, there's already a library of yoga class and meditation audios and/or videos waiting for you inside your online practice hub, from the sessions we have gathered for in the month of January.Â
Community
A warm, supportive community await you! Around 30 people have already joined SÄdhanÄ - many local to the Sunshine Coast, and some from as far as Perth, Melbourne, Maryborough and Rockhampton.
While the practices of yoga and mediation are an inward journey for the individual self, it really helps to journey alongside others. You'll love catching up with your study and practice friends - new and perhaps old - each time we gather in-person and/or online.Â
Together we read the same text book - one every three months - and come together for Book Club. Our online chat group keeps our connected journey alive between our community practice sessions.
"I have always felt like I was somehow doing it all wrong when it comes to yoga. Turns out I just needed to find Erin! She has this way of explaining things that brings so much clarity and makes mindfulness and yoga accessible even for those of us who are not bendy little pretzels."
Michelle
The Way:
1. Direct Experience
...of the practices and techniques.
Itâs one thing to read or hear a teachingâitâs another thing entirely to experience it.
Direct experience is the heart of yoga and meditation. When you consistently practice the techniques, the teachings become living truths within you.
Familiarising yourself with the nature of your mind, you bear witness to patterns, habitsâand your potential. This clarity ("clear-seeing") is wisdom.
2. Self-Study
âŚthrough ancient texts and modern transmissions that will illuminate your path.
Self-study (svÄdhyÄya) is the bridge between what you experience and what it means.
As you explore classical yoga and meditation textsâpaired with accessible contemporary teachingsâyou gain language, context, and guidance for your inner journey.
You begin to understand the layers of your being, the principles of practice, and the stages of unfolding that accompany sincere spiritual work and support long-term inner growth.
3. Community
âŚa supportive, like-hearted group walking the path with you.
While the journey is personal, itâs far easier when shared.
In community, your motivation grows, discipline strengthens, and compassion expands. You feel supported through both the challenges and the blissful realisations.
This community will help you continue to show up for the practice. Not for perfectionâinstead wholeheartedness.
The Form:
Across the year, youâll be supported through a curated journey exploring the five koshas, the layers of your being as described in the yoga tradition.
Each Kosha offers a different doorway into understanding yourself, from the physical body to the breath and energy body, the mind, the wisdom body, and finally the deepest layer of peaceful and presence.
Each phase of the year focuses on one kosha, allowing you to move deeper into yourself with clarity and intention.
All contact points and online practices focus on a layer for approximately two months exploring each layer. This allows enough time for practice, reflection, and direct experience to unfold naturally, and a holistic understanding of how each layer contributes to a more integrated, awake and relaxed way of living.Â

Hi, I'm Erin Lee     Â
Your Year-Long SÄdhanÄ Guide
- Founder & Lead Trainer, The Mindful Yoga School
- Author, The Little Book of Big Intentions
- Devoted Yoga & Meditation Student
As a yoga and meditation student of almost thirty years now, I know what it's like to ebb and flow with practicing.
While it's fine to accept inconsistency, it's very clear that when we devote ourselves more consistently to the practice and study of yoga and meditation, there is enormous benefit.
Over the years, Iâve seen again and again that when students are held within a supportive structureâtrue to the ancient teachings of these practicesâand are surrounded by others walking a similar path, their practice deepens in ways they couldnât access alone.
Discipline becomes devotion.
Curiosity becomes insight.
Effort transforms into ease.
This is why I created SÄdhanÄ: to offer a year of dedicated, embodied practice, consistent guidance, and a community that encourages you to keep showing up.Â
If youâre ready to explore your inner landscape with sincerity, steadiness, and support, Iâd be honoured to welcome youâand walk alongside you.
"Thank you Erin for assisting me to get back into practicing yoga daily to focus on me and the life I wish for."
